To Do List

We’ve had a load of great input these past few days (and weeks) so I wanted to share with you the current state of our to do list. I’m not sure it’s the most commercially sensible thing to do :) – but you guys deserve to know that we’re working day and (most) nights to make Bountee what you want it to be.
The List:
- Deleting shirts. But not only that – we’re going to make the shirts that are ‘unapproved’ by the community still ‘buyable’ by the person that made it. So even if you have something rudely unaccepted by your peers you can still go on and rock your threads for the super-basic price anyway!
- Colour Merging. In as much as we’re considering giving colour choice to the buyers rather than designers. So you as a designer submit a shirt in your preferred colours and styles i.e. you can make the design available in multiple shirts and multiple colours in one upload – and then if the user wants your design in Yellow then they can have it their way (but still within your chosen colour/style range)!
- Actual real people in real shirt photo uploads. We want to encourage people to upload ‘proper’ shirt images – so we’re going to work on finding a way that allows people to add real images to the designs but doesn’t involve massive amounts of time spent removing/moderating the usual nekkid naughtiness that people with digital cameras just can’t help doing! (Unless of course you all actually *want* that! :-p)
- Bug and Basic Fixes. Simple things that are actually more complex for our system than you would think like: Allow the design details form to all be processed from the one submit button etc
And that’s pretty much it for round 2 of the beta build I think. We’ve made great steps these past 7 weeks – yep that’s how young we are! – and so if you have any more suggestions it’d be great to here them!

i love the idea of being able to still print your “rejected” shirts, great idea
one of my biggest perturbs is the “sales” screen, showing the sales of the shirts. I have no idea what those numbers on the right side mean, they dont add up to anything that my artist brain can understand. if it does make sense in some way i’d love an explaination cuz there are a lot of reasons why im in art ;)
Also along with the sales thing, getting the payments through paypal is a very enjoyable thing, but it doesnt give me any idea of how many shirts thats for. Would it be a crazy idea to get an invoice? the math has been done, so why couldnt we see it on a page of some sort? just an email? maybe by request?
thanks & im really enjoying the site

Yeah – you’re right about the sales screen.
All that data is there actually. I’ll do a quick write-up to explain it, and then add that to our list as well as a ‘tidy up’! :)
Thanks for the feedback!

I know I just mentioned it in my email, but I have to say it again: I LOVE these new changes!!! :D Especially the option to purchase your own shirt, even if it doesn’t get enough votes!!
Hooray for Bountee! I’ve continued to pimp the site to all my designer/artist friends! :)

I am really enjoying using the site. You are really doing a great job and it is always a wonderful thing when the developers are receptive to suggestions.
I don’t know if any of these have been voiced before but I have a few ideas for adding usability to the site. If you are already working on these then please forgive my ignorance.
1. Show the shirt titles or at least add the titles of the shirts in a title tag or alt tag.
2. Add a “Back” button on shirt details page to go to the previous page.
3. This may not be possible, but it would be really cool to be able to print on the back on the shirt as well.
That’s all I have right now. Thanks again!

The site’s looking great and the changes you’ve mentioned will certainly help. Here’s my 2 cents:
• It’d be great to have all versions of a design (ie guys & girls & different colours) in the one submission so we don’t have to go through and vote for 5 versions of the same tee, or dont have to hunt for the girls version if we’re on the guys submission. This’d also help a lot, because you cant tell from the design thumbnails which designs are on girls tees and which are on boys :)
• I’d love to be able to click on the thumbnails in my sales screen to get to my design screen
keep up the fantastic site, I think it’ll do great things!
